Native American Navajo Made Hunting Bow and Arrows. This Navajo-made bow and crossed arrows is a traditional example of a Native American Indian bow and arrows. The artist cut the wood for the bows, soak it and shape it then they decorate the bow. This beautiful 42 inch long bow and arrow set is an authentic reproduction of a period artifact as would be found on the current day Navajo reservation.
A bow like this would have been used for everyday hunting and protection. Manufactured the old way, the bow is made from a flexible wood, such as willow, and has a tied string. Beads and feathers adorn the ends of the bow, and two arrows and feathers adorn the leather handle, tied themselves with cured leather at the edges.
